Sneak Peak at a Twinkies & Robots Sculpture...

Just a quick reminder...The opening for "The Twinkies and Robots" Gallery show is next Friday, 11/7/08, from 7-10. It will be an awesome show that you don't want to miss!

Below is one of the sculptures for the show. The first pick shows it before I baked it and the second shot shows it after I painted it.

cellphone photo which doesn't really do my paint job any justice. In the future I'll use a real camera, but in the meantime if you come to the show you That's not the final base it is going on. I just use that to sculpt on. The sculpture is made from Polymer clay, and was painted with acrylics. It stands about 11" tall without the base. I apologize for the low rescan see it in person.

The Well Collaborated Monster


Here is the piece that Carrie Swider and I collaborated on for the MAC 650 Artspace "Haunted Gallery Show". I sculpted the the little guy and Carrie painted him and came up with the great idea of having busting out of the book. Pretty kick-ass stuff if I do say so myself. We are talking about doing some more...I'll keep you Slugs posted.

The Haunted Gallery Opening

So "The Haunted Gallery Opening" at MAC 650 Artspace kicked ass. It was a good turn out and a good time. The Sunday Herald Press wrote a great Cover Sorty on the event which also gave me some great props.
